President’s
Report (Greg): Absent-- Pres. Report read by VP
Ian:
Flying the Vegas coop for a late Summer Phishing
trip. The LVJBS is currently seeking venues to produce
shows. I encourage our entire membership and friends
of LVJBS to be on the lookout for potential new
venues (ones that have a stage and are able to let
us work the door for a donation) or there will be
a lack of shows coming our way due to circumstances
of having no place to have them play.
Upcoming confirmed LVJBS shows:
Mtn. Slim String Band—Sat. 8-8 @ Aruba
Charlie Orlando Band—Mon. 8-10 @ Aruba
Cubensis (8/29) and Perpetual Groove (9/8 instead
of 9/12) shows are still “in limbo”
due to venue situations. We are waiting to hear
from The Hard Rock Café regarding whether
or not the new room will be ready. ‘Sinister’
is no longer an option.
Bands that WANT to play LVJBS Fall shows:
Soja w/ the Movement (Reggae)—Sat. 9/19 (during
Neon Reverb)
The Radiators—Sept. 21 or 22 (Mon./Tues.)
**group says NO due to weekdays.
Jerry Joseph & the Jack Mormons—Sat. 9/26
**group says tentative: YES
Lubrophonic—late Sept. 25-29 **group says
they were good, but too soon!
Hot Buttered Rum String Band—Sat. 11/15 **group
says YES
Vice President’s Report (Ian): ‘Lotus’
has a ‘pay what you want to see them’
and patron gets CD if it’s over a certain
amount.
Treasurer’s Report (Dan): We lost $360 for
CounterClarkWise and lost $727 for Lubrophonic.
We’ll most likely lose for tonight’s
ToasT show due to expenses and the “free for
members” show.
Secretary’s Report (Jessica): I have a label
from a Moon Doggies water bottle that I can bring
in for the Achieve collection. RJ says to “give
it to him, so he can stick it in there.” (He
said it, Stacey!!!—LOL J ha ha).
Mayor’s Report (Skip): In the red, Red.

--Ben saw the CHICAGO AFRO-BEAT in Oregon and says,
“5-thumbs up!” We had voted “no”
in the past & suggests having them if they come
our way again!
