Jam Band Society Members’ Meeting Minutes
December 6, 2011
Meeting Begins: 7:35PM
President’s Report (Greg): We have some confirmed
shows to end 2011 with & a few planned for early
2012. (See ‘Production Report’ below)
Pre-sale tickets for Dec. 15th’s PARTICLE
show are available now for $15. Tickets are $20
at the door.
The ELECTIONS for 2012 LVJBS Officers will take
place at the end of tonight’s meeting.
Vice President’s Report (Keith): Thanks for
all of the hard work and efforts that were given
to the LVJBS this year & “Roland sucks”.
Treasurer’s Report (Dan): We have liquid assets!
Pay your 2012 dues starting today! DUE it….
Another Membership Drive was suggested to help boost
future/new membership (free show(s) with Membership
purchase, etc.) More details TBA.
Secretary’s Report (Jessica): Thanks to all
the Volunteers and hard working Jambanders who help
make LVJBS a success! It’s been a fun year!

8PM, (this will follow the Feb.’s LVJBS Members’
Meeting, early start time) $10.

Corey Glover from Living Colour & Corey Henry
from The Rebirth Brass Band @ the HRCafe. $20
INTERESTS:
*An email was sent from musician, Matt O’Ree.
Greg had posted it to the Yahoo! Group. Those who
listened to it enjoyed it, but said it was more
of a “classic rock cover-sound”. Greg
will connect Matt to the Brass Lounge for a future
date!*Infamous String Dusters (interested in April
15-17). The group is eager to have them here soon.

OPEN FLOOR:
*Ballots for the 2012 Officers were handed out to
eligible members……See results below……
*Greg, Jimmy, & Frobi met with The Rumor Hotel
regarding the use of their facilities for an upcoming,
future, weekend of 4-20 mini-festival. Bands have
been contacted and show excitement. Everything was
moving forward until the ‘GM’ of the
hotel was dismissed. The idea was pitched to the
new ‘GM’ and she likes the idea. They
are still working out numbers. The venue has a few
banquet halls/space for music and 495 hotel rooms.
In order to make our money back, EVERY one of the
495 rooms would need to be sold. It was discussed
that this event could be a future ‘Xigolati
Cruise’ festival #2, since that event is looking
for a ‘new’ home. Because of the need
for more advertising to hold an event of this size,
it is 75% NOT going to happen in April, as originally
planned. More info TBA.
*The Community Donation Jars have been a success
so far! November raised $70 for Shade Tree women/children’s
shelter. The ‘Pit Stop’ is our organization
for December. Donations were asked at the meeting,
as well. Look for raffle tickets and the donation
jar at our upcoming shows.
*Our ‘FACEBOOK Group’ will SOON be a
‘FACEBOOK PAGE’…..Be on the lookout
for future show announcements via the PAGE…..
*MEDUSA TANGO will play a FREE show on Friday, December
9th @ The Freakin’ Frog, on Maryland Pkwy,
near UNLV.
