(He will be coming to the meeting to lay out his
new band)
(**GROUP thinks the Sat., August 13th & 20th
dates are better options.)
Charley Orlando - July 20th (Wed.)
(Has a hold at the Freaking Frog for 7.21 (Thurs.)
but says he‘ll be in Springdale by then
?)
Would prefer to do a LVJBS show on 7.20

The Hillbenders (Dustin T.’s pals from Midwest….Upbeat,
jammy Bluegrass)9.18 or 9.21 Sun. or Wed.--they
prefer 9.18 for routing purposes.
(**GROUP voted YES)
7 Walkers
is looking for a date in Vegas on the below availability:
June 30, July 1, 3, 4, 7 or 8
(**GROUP feels the dates are a concern due to
‘High Sierra’ and since the ‘Jerry
Joseph’ , after WSP show is now a FREE show.)
Whitney Myer Band
Greg, your company was recommended to me by a
friend who is familiar with you. We are Reno based
who has been touring the west coast for the past
2 yrs and we like to talk to you about the possibility
of booking our band for one of your events this
summer. I'm looking at July 21st, 22nd and 23rd
in particular but we also have openings late August
and September.
The Whitney Myer Band is a band based out of Reno,
NV and we've been playing in and around the West
Coast for 2 years and have a killer stage presence
as well as great original songs. We recently released
our sophomore album to a crowd of over 1,110 at
the Knitting Factory in Reno and were voted Best
Band and Best New Album in the Reno News and Review.
We also recently played a show in a stadium of
over 9,000 people.
(**GROUP decided to listen to them and we will
discuss at a future meeting for a possible Sept.
date.)
Old Californio
By now you should have received a copy of Old
Californio's upcoming July 2011 release Sundrunk
Angels. Take a listen, pass it around, see what
you and your members think.
In any case we will be headlining the America
First Harvest Moon Festival in Ogden, UT on Saturday,
September 24 (last year's headliner was Lukas
Nelson and The Promise of the real) and we'd like
to see about a show with your society on Friday,
September 23rd since we will be en route to Ogden.
The band will also be playing Groovefest in Cedar
City on Sat., June 25 as well giant helping of
Utah and Colorado dates in August. We'd like to
make Las Vegas a frequent stop on our tour route.
If you and your society are into it please let
us know. Thank you generously for your time.
Justin Smith
Old Californio
(**GROUP thinks they are ‘too Country-ish
for our Members)Mountain Standard Time
Available for Booking
September 7th - 18th
As a bluegrass band that's anything but traditional,
Mountain Standard Time follows in the footsteps
of such Colorado greats as The String Cheese Incident
and Leftover Salmon. While leading acoustically
with guitar, mandolin, and banjo, MST brands its
own style, boasting a big, full-band sound with
saxophone, electric bass, drums, and electric
effects.
(**GROUP thinks Saturdays, Sept. 10 or 17 would
be best)
OPEN FLOOR:
*Welcome, Max Adler, from the ‘Light-group’
(books at Diablo’s Cantina). The group discussed
the venue and the security for possible future
bookings.
*The Box Office wants to start hosting jam band
shows: (Email from Cion the owner: Let’s
talk about booking jam bands monthly on the first
Saturday & other dates during months...would
like to start with Saturday, July 2nd...we need
a win win win format that will satisfy everyone
involved. (**GROUP doesn’t like the venue.
Members feel it wouldn’t be good for acoustics
and is too small.)
*Welcome Nate & Eric (Thom’s pals).
*Bree Miles’ ‘BILLYSTOCK’ –a
benefit for her Dad’s Cancer Treatments
will be in JULY. More info TBA. (You can find
Bree on Facebook for more info.)
*Megan handed out ‘Surrender the Flow’,
a Phish-lot magazine. This features some of Ryan’s
Phishy-artwork.
*Be sure to get your SUNSHINE DAYDREAM, Long Beach
boat cruise: Delta Nove, Moksha, & Quactus
pre-sale tickets before they are gone! J Sunday,
June 12th @ 4PM.
