LAS VEGAS JAM BAND SOCIETY
Members’ Meeting Minutes
April 7, 2015

Meeting Begins:  7:41PM
“We’ll get this thing going here!”

Welcome guests of Ben Z.’s:  Dave & Miles

This will be a quick & easy meeting….Very little ‘Production’ reports due to Festivals, etc.

President’s Report (Greg):

The May Friends & Family Event, created by Kurt & Jen, has been updated and posted to our ‘Wild Apricot’, Members’ site.  VALLEY OF FIRE CAMP-OUT, Saturday, May 9th.  (An upcoming one for a ‘Group Zone’ of a 51s game, is an option this Spring!)  More details to follow.

Vice President’s Report (Kathy):
Nothing to report  J

Secretary’s Report (Jessica):
Thanks to those who supported the ‘MARCH FRIENDS & FAMILY EVENT’ at Applebee’s last month.  Thanks to Applebees’ DINING TO DONATE program (& LVJBS Member, Sheila), the LVJBS was provided with a check for $131.14.  (A future FLAPJACK FUNDRAISER was mentioned where the LVJBS sells $10 tickets, and serves breakfast to those ‘ticketed-guests’, making $5 back to the LVJBS when done.)

The Grateful Dead’s Annual ‘Meet up at the Movies’ (’89, Alpine, CA) will be on MONDAY, MAY 4th.
Discussed having an East side and a West side theater location:  The Colonnade Theaters (Eastern/215) and the Regal Village Square (Sahara/Ft. Apache).
There may be a chance that the Lyons’ Den Radio Show may provide us with a handful of passes this year, as well, for use at various participating theaters??  More info TBD.

Our ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY roadside clean-up was discussed, in order to meet before the desert heats up.  Date thought:  SATURDAY, APRIL 25th  (morning meet-up near Lake Mead & staying as long as Members can….)

Treasurer’s Report (Paige):
There are now 80 paid 2015 Members.  We raised over $200 with donations from the March 14th, Scott Pemberton Trio show at the Hideaway. We gave the Lone-Woof Rescue $300 for our ‘Virtual Dog’, Angus, to help with his care until he is adopted.  Tim, with the Hippie Livin’ store, has renewed his ‘website advertisement’ for 2015, yet, AmpMedic has declined renewal.

Mayor’s Report (Frobi (absent) via Jessica):
COLOR:  ‘Unconscious Black-Out’
(due to being asleep, after a road trip back from CA….)

COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Fundraising Committee (Kathy):
Dave B. graciously did research on the ‘Jackson Electric Guitar’, cleaned it up, and reported it’s not worth more than $100.  Jessica to inquire about its use in a High School Jazz Band and seeing what schools may be in need of this donated guitar.  (Thanks, Dave, for you help with this!)  J

Archive Committee (RJ):  absent
PR Committee (Jenny):   absent
