President’s Report (Greg):
“Let’s get this thing started!”
One of Paige’s friends, Stephanie, sent us a possible logo for our 15th Anniversary. (Logo shared to group with positive response.) More info TBD.
Vice President’s Report (Kathy): The RELIX table volunteering was a fun time at the Umphrey’s McGee show(s). Chris, from RELIX, offered to put the table at other LVJBS shows (banner, cards, etc.). (Greg mentioned chatting about a possible article in an upcoming issue in regards to our 15 year LVJBS Anniversary—Chris will share that with the RELIX people.)
Secretary’s Report (Jessica): We NEED to get some trashed picked up before the HOT, Summer-heat at our ‘ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY’ location, near Lake Mead. The chosen date will be SATURDAY, MAY 23rd @ 9am. (*Please join the Facebook Ad, if you/your friends can help out! The more helpers we have, the quicker it’ll get done!) Thanks in advance! J
Treasurer’s Report (Paige):
We have funds! Thanks to those who attended the AFANLV, AIDS-Walk and/or donated to our team. It was a success.
Mayor’s Report (Frobi (absent) via Jessica):
COLOR: ‘Clear’ due to the “clear-LVJBS schedule of upcoming events! Long live the Brooklyn Bowl & the LVJBS!”
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Fundraising Committee (Kathy/John): Nothing much to report. Dave had looked at the electric guitar, which will need minor repairs. LVJBS to donate it to Molasky JHS, to add to the acoustic guitar that was donated last year. The guitar kids are preparing ‘Evil Ways’ by Santana and the guitar will help the soloist to do an Electric solo within the song!
Archive Committee (RJ (absent) via Kathy): A discussion of making a 15th anniversary calendar (with noted dates of past events, members’ Birthdays, photos of events/posters on each month, etc.) was recently discussed. Group thinks this is a great way to share memories of the past decade & a half. More details TBD.
PR Committee (Jenny):
*Loving the new ‘Wild Apricot’ Members’ site. Thanks to Johnnie T. for getting it started. We will soon b utilizing this site and ‘locking in’ to avoid further price increase. Jenny to send a link of the site to the Yahoo! Group, announcing the soon, switch-over must. The ‘Wild Apricot’ will soon be the ONLY LVJBS communication site.
*Thanks to Kurt & Jen for the LVJBS discount for their recent WECAN Wellness Event.
*Thanks to George for the Fathom Events/KUNV complimentary tickets to the ‘Annual Meet-up at the Movies’ event on May 4th.

CONTACTS/booked shows:
THE BRASSAHOLICS (Jamband-Funk from Louisiana) mentioned wanting to come play for the LVJBS.
THE HEADHUNTERS made contact to play a future date.
MELVIN SEALS w/ JGB, mentioned playing an ‘end of August’ date. We will look into making this our 15th Anniversary show (since they were our 10th Anniversary headliner!) and see if Vinyl at the Hard Rock Hotel can help host this!
OPEN FLOOR:
*Dave (pal of Ben Z.’s) mentioned the AMERICAN PATRIOT FEST @ Craig Ranch Regional Park, on SATURDAY, MAY 16th (10am-7pm) @ 627 W. Craig Rd. (near Commerce). There will be live music, food, and DJs. (Santana cover band, Hendrix cover band, Yellow Brick Road, DJs, and a Motown Review. Check www.americanpatriotfest.com for more info. Free event.
JUNE’S FRIENDS & FAMILY EVENT: Kathy will be working on a SUNDAY, JUNE 21st (Father’s Day) event at COWABUNGA BAY, water park. More info and group-rate discussion TBD.
